Central Library: Print Non-Fiction Collection
Purpose:
A 2003 strategic initiative is the development and application of collection profiles to clearly define the selection strategy for each part of the collection. Collection profiles describe the collection in terms of expected customer use, depth and breadth of the subject areas to be collected, retention strategies, and the priority for adding new materials to the collection. This is consistent with standard practice at other library systems.
