Volunteer Opportunity - HALO Tutors
The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton is looking for tutors for the HALO Program (Homework and Learning Opportunities). This program is designed to provide a structured time for one on one support with homework. Each child in the program will be paired up with a tutor who will assist them with their work and encourage appropriate social skills, help build self-esteem and confidence, and teach them problem-solving skills.
Time: 5:15 pm – 7 pm (September 2011 – June 2012)
Mondays – Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Elementary School, 420 Mohawk Rd. E
Wednesdays – Canadian Martyrs’ Catholic Elementary School, 1355 Main St. W
Current police check will be required for all new volunteers.
