Services at HPL for Persons with Disabilities

The Hamilton Public Library is committed to accessibility when developing services for people with disabilities, their families and caregivers.

Accessible HPL provides the following Services:  

DISH

Disability information is available through DISH the Disability Information Service Hotline.   

Visiting Library Service

The Visiting Library Service provides a wide range of library materials to City of Hamilton residents who are unable to get out due to health or mobility limitations.  

Library Collections

Library collections are available in a variety of formats including large print, books on CD,talking books, ebooks and eaudio. 

Accessibility Tools

Would assistive technologies make your use of the library more rewarding? In addition to text enlargers at five branches, our computers are now equipped with many new accessibility features.

Do you need to know which accessibility features are available at your branch? Follow the Branch Hours Table to the branch you plan to visit
