NOMINATIONS FOR 2012 WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL APRIL 20, 2012.

In order for an individual to be considered as a candiate for the Hamilton Gallery of Distinction, a nomination form must be completed.

The Hamilton Gallery of Distinction honours the lifetime achievements of a select group of citizens who have made a significant contribution to strengthening the City of Hamilton over their lifetime.

Who can be nominated?

We encourage nominations from the arts, theatre, religion, education, science, medicine, engineering, commerce, industry, sports, community service, business, political, philanthropy, military, law, historical, labour and union organizations.

What is the criteria for judging?

Citizens from the Hamilton Communities who, through their achievements have gained honour, recognition and distinction locally, provincially or internationally and in doing so have strengthened the profile of our community.

In order for an individual to be considered as a candiate for the Hamilton Gallery of Distinction, a nomination form must be completed. Please include all the information requested in the form.

 
Submit A Nomination

The Process

Successful nominees will be notified each summer and announced to the public in the fall. Nominees’ names are submitted to the Selection Committee for a total of three years. If your nominee is not selected within this timeframe, you are welcome to renominate them for consideration by the selection committee for an additional three years.
